Abhishek Bachchan walks the ramp for babies

For her fourth collection of baby wear, international fashion designer Ritu Beri has asked Abhishek Bachchan to walk the ramp for her at a charity show organised on March 2. The collection will be auctioned at the venue and the proceeds go to a trust that helps better the lives of under-privileged children.

For her fourth collection of baby wear, international fashion designer Ritu Beri has asked Abhishek Bachchan to walk the ramp for her at a charity show organised on March 2. The collection will be auctioned at the venue and the proceeds go to The Blessed Hearts Foundation, a charity that helps better the lives of under-privileged children.

Beri says, “This is an annual charity show that I do for The Blessed Hearts Foundation. Every year, I have a celebrity to walk the ramp, as the kids get excited and it makes their day. This year it is the Hippie Beri show, so we have decided to call Abhishek as the chief guest. He will be the star of the show.” The earlier editions of the charity event have featured Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Kunal Kapoor.

Abhishek’s sister, Shweta Nanda, will also be present at the event, but as part of the audience. Beri says, “Every kid is a celebrity and we have 85 cute kids on the ramp this year. However, Shweta’s kids will not be walking the ramp. It’s going to be a mad show.”

Ask if wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or daughter Aaradhya will be attending the event to cheer Abhishek on and Beri replies, “I have no idea. I have invited Aishwarya too, who I have known ever since her modelling days, but let’s see if she comes. I don’t know who Abhishek is bringing along.”
