The Princess Diaries star has accepted an invitation to be part of the University drama club’s wacky annual festivities in February, when she will be handed the title, reported Contactmusic.

The 27-year-old actress will be paraded around campus and then she will also take part in a revue, a type of theatrical entertainment. The award is for entertainers who make a “lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment”.

Last year, Renee Zellweger was awarded the honour, while Spider-Man star James Franco was named Man of the Year, an award that is yet to be announced for this year.
