This Sunday, Delhiites marched in Connaught Place to show their support for the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games at the ‘Go for Gold’ rally, a part of the ‘Go India! Go for Gold!’ campaign organised by the Hindustan Times Group.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit flagged off the event. The campaign has till date collected around 80,000 handprints on canvases symbolising high five in support for the Indian athletes. The participants of the rally, including CM Sheila Dikshit, put their handprints on the billboards that were put up at the venue. Organising Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi was also present.
