Big B wants Prag Mahal to be renovated

Bollywood star and Gujarat brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan suggested that the repair and renovation of the historical Prag Mahal be done at the earliest.

The Kutch district administration will send a proposal for the repair and renovation of the historical Prag Mahal, damaged in the 2001 earthquake, to the Gujarat Tourism Development Corporation and the state government, according to Kutch district collector M Thenarsan.

Built by Rao Pragmalji II in 1879, it is one of the major tourist attractions in Bhuj. The move comes following a suggestion from Bollywood star and Gujarat brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan. Bachchan has recently shot an advertisement promoting tourism in the state.
