Speaking about her experience of working with Ranbir, Alia told NDTV, “…Ranbir and I are very strong individuals, especially me. I don't mean he's not a strong individual. But, we both respect our individual personalities and professional commitments together. We're not do jism ek jaan (two bodies one soul) kind of people. We have a beautiful equation as companions and we have an even better working relationship because we're both passionate about movies."

It doesn’t matter if we don’t do anything romantic or even talk but she should just sit next to me.”

Recently, Ranbir had also said that Alia was ‘one of the most important actors’ in Indian cinema, and should be respected for her work, the way she carries herself, and the value system she stands by. He also praised her for working on multiple projects and promoting her films, even during her pregnancy.
