Arjun Kapoor dances to Shraddha Kapoor's Tere Pyaar Mein, says: 'Meri OG Half Girlfriend jhoothi aur makkaar'

Actor Arjun Kapoor danced to the song Tere Pyaar Mein and called his former Half Girlfriend co-star Shraddha Kapoor ‘jhoothi aur makkar’ in a new video on Instagram.

After Alia Bhatt, it was Arjun Kapoor's turn to groove to the song Tere Pyaar Mein from the upcoming romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The actor danced to the song and called his former co-star Shraddha Kapoor, the ‘OG Half Girlfriend', 'jhoothi aur makkaar (liar and a fraud)'. Then he dedicated the song to his first love, his hair, which got styled in the Instagram Reel. The film, directed by Luv Ranjan, also stars Ranbir Kapoor.

Arjun Kapoor shared a video of himself dancing to Tere Pyaar Mein from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.

Dancing and lip-syncing to the song with a hairbrush, Arjun wrote, "Itne saal baad pata chala ki meri OG #HalfGirlfriend, @shraddhakapoor jhoothi aur makkaar hai (After so many years, I found out that my OG Half Girlfriend Shraddha Kapoor is a liar and a fraud)! Toh here's dedicating #TerePyaarMein to my first love, my hair!" He and Shraddha acted together in the 2017 romantic drama, Half Girlfriend, directed by Mohit Suri.

Actor Sunny Singh dropped a fire emoji and said, "Looking good." A person corrected Arjun and shared, "Woh sirf Jhoothi hai Makkaar Ranbir hai (She is just a liar, Ranbir is a fraud)." Another fan commented, "The best version." An Instagram user said they loved Arjun's take on the song.

The song Tere Pyaar Mein is composed by Pritam, sung by Arijit Singh along with Nikhita Gandhi, and has lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Earlier, Alia Bhatt had given her own take on the song while riding a bike in the gym to promote her husband Ranbir's upcoming film.

Besides Ranbir and Shraddha, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar also features Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia, and Arjun's father, producer Boney Kapoor in his acting debut. He had previously played himself in Vikramaditya Motwane's meta thriller AK vs AK in 2020.

Arjun was last seen in Aasmaan Bhardwaj's directorial debut Kuttey with Tabu, Konkona Sensharma and Naseeruddin Shah. He also has the films The Ladykiller and Mere Husband Ki Biwi lined up for release.

Shraddha is returning to the big screen after three years. She was last seen in the Hindi film Baaghi 3 with Tiger Shroff in 2020. This is the first time that she and Ranbir have been paired together in a film.
