Badrinath Ki Dulhania turns 4: Alia Bhatt drops hint, says 'secretly discussing part 3' with Varun Dhawan, director
Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and director Shashank Khaitan came together to celebrate as their film Badrinath Ki Dulhania turned four. She also mentioned how they were planning part three of the film.
Actor Alia Bhatt took to Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of a video chat she had with her co-star Varun Dhawan and director Shashank Khaitan as their film, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, turned four. What's more, she dropped a major hint that part three of the series is being planned.

It may be recalled that the trio have worked together in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). This film will be the third in the series.

Sharing the screengrab, Alia wrote: "Here we are four years later secretly discussing part 3! Love you guys! Happy 4 years to us." While Alia is in Mumbai, Varun is away in Arunachal Pradesh, shooting for his film, Bhediya.
Badrinath ki Dulhania told the story of a young girl aspiring to be an air-hostess who refuses to comply with the demands of a fiance with patriarchal expectations.
Writing about the film, the Hindustan Times review said: "Badrinath Ki Dulhania begins as a cute sweet love story between a Jhansi boy and a Kota girl, but the director understands the current tide of films that celebrate powerful, liberated women, so it transforms into a progressive story before turning cute-sweet again."

On the work front, Alia awaits the release of her much-anticipated film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. The teaser of the film was unveiled in February and got a rousing welcome, both from fans and her colleagues.
The film is based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Gangubai Kothewali, the madam of a brothel in Kamathipura.
Varun, meanwhile, has completed shooting for his film Jug Jugg Jeeyo and is currently filming Bhediya with Kriti Sanon in Arunachal Pradesh. Bhediya is being directed by Amar Kaushik. It will be producer Dinesh Vijan's third horror-comedy film after Stree and Roohi.
