Sharing the second-day collection of the film, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#Bholaa slips on Day 2… The decline was on the cards, since Thu was #RamNavmi holiday, while Fri was a working day… Thu 11.20 cr, Fri 7.40 cr. Total: 18.60 cr. #India biz.”

He added in another tweet: “#Bholaa needs to cover lost ground on Sat and Sun… Biz on Sat should witness an upturn, with bigger circuits giving the film that extra push. The holy month of #Ramadan [a big chunk of movie-going audience stays away from cinemas] and commencement of #IPL2023 have made a dent in its biz, but if the film sustains, after the weekend, the holiday period ahead [summer vacations] can prove advantageous.”

Bholaa stars Ajay as a newly freed prisoner and Tabu as an IPS officer. The film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Deepak Dobriyal, Gajraj Rao in prominent roles. It is the remake of Tamil film Kaithi which was written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Tabu and Ajay are friends and Bholaa marks their latest film together after Drishyam 2. Tabu told PTI in an interview that she completely surrendered to Ajay Devgn who was in the director's seat. “I entered this film with my eyes closed. I knew I had to do a lot of action, he made everything easy. I knew I had to completely surrender in front of him. I can trust him and that he will sent me home scratch free. Ajay and the action team worked hard and made things easy for me. They have expertise in action that I don't think anyone else has. I did whatever I had to on basis of their instructions... I don't think I ever thought I will be able to do this level of action and I want to thank him,” she said.
