Inside Geeta Basra’s virtual baby shower: Balloons and cake featuring a sleeping Harbhajan Singh

Geeta Basra shared pictures from her surprise baby shower, featuring her husband Harbhajan Singh and daughter Hinaya.

Geeta Basra took to Instagram on Monday night to share pictures of a surprise baby shower thrown for her by her friends. She revealed that her husband Harbhajan Singh was their ‘accomplice’ and helped them set the whole thing up.

In the pictures, Geeta Basra wore a blue bardot dress with a polka-dot design. She posed in front of giant wooden letters filled with balloons, spelling the word ‘baby’. The room was also decorated with pink and blue balloons. Harbhajan Singh was casually dressed in a navy blue long-sleeved T-shirt with cargo pants and a cap. Their daughter Hinaya wore a cute baby blue outfit.

The cake, which had ‘Geeta’s baby shower’ written on it, featured the likenesses of Harbhajan and Geeta lying in bed with Hinaya and their second (yet-to-be-born) child. Guests, meanwhile, attended virtually, amid the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“My girls are the best! What a beautiful and sweetest virtual baby shower surprise! Don’t know what I would do without you all but you all made me feel so special and cheered me up.. during such times it’s when you miss each other the most of not being able to celebrate such moments together and so many special celebrations missed out on.. but you girls really out did yourselves! All sitting across different parts of the world thank God for digital platforms that keep us connected!” Geeta wrote in her post.

“Thank you my loves and I’m so blessed to have you in my life! and hubby @harbhajan3 well done on being such a good accomplice! @ruby_basra @shanu84 @sunishine88 @ayshabari @rina_malah,” she added.

Harbhajan and Geeta got married on October 29, 2015, in Jalandhar. They have a four-year-old daughter named Hinaya, and are expecting their second child, due in July.
