Kareena Kapoor teases Karisma Kapoor with Husn Hai Suhana lyrics as she wins an award, fans can't stop laughing
Karisma Kapoor took to her Instagram account to say thanks for the award, and soon received several congratulatory messages from her fans as well as her celebrity friends.
Karisma Kapoor has been awarded the Face of Iconic Bollywood Hits by Radio Mirchi. The actor took to her Instagram account on Thursday to say thanks for the award, and soon received several congratulatory messages from her fans as well as her celebrity friends. Among those praising her was her sister Kareena Kapoor, who commented lyrics of an old song to congratulate the actor. Karisma, who was wearing a black net saree for the occasion, shared a picture of herself holding the award. She wrote, “Thank you Radio Mirchi for honouring me with the Face of Iconic Bollywood Hits. Grateful to the audience for all the love and thankful to all my wonderful colleagues who have contributed to this.”
Soon after Karisma's post went up, her younger sister Kareena Kapoor commented, "Goriya chura na mera jiya goriya," adding black hearts and folded hands emojis. Kareena's comment was the lyrics of the song Husn Hai Suhana, a song from the 1995 film Coolie No. 1 that was picturised on Karisma and Govinda. The song was remade along with the movie for 2020 movie Coolie No. 1 that starred Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in Govinda and Karisma's role.
Instagram users replied with laughing emojis on Kareena's comment. Kareena's sister-in-law Saba Ali Khan also congratulated Karisma on her win. Amrita Arora dropped clapping emojis in the comments section, while Maheep Kapoor simply wrote, "Congratulations lolo," adding a red heart and clapping emojis.
Meanwhile, Karisma and Govinda will soon be seen dancing to their hit song UP Wala Thumka from their 1997 movie Hero No 1 when they make an appearance in the Holi special episode of India's Got Talent Season 9 this weekend.
Govinda and Karisma were one of the most successful on-screen couples in the late 90s' and worked together in several films. Some of their famous movies include Muqabla (1993), Prem Shakti (1994), Raja Babu (1994), Dulaara (1994), Khuddar (1994), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Coolie No. 1 (1995), and Saajan Chale Sasural (1996).
