On July 14, Lalit Modi shared a bunch of pictures with actor Sushmita Sen on social media and announced that they are in a relationship. He has now reacted to the controversy it caused.

On Monday, Lalit Modi shared a cartoon illustration on how people reacted to the news of him dating Sushmita Sen. Sharing the photos, he added that he does cause controversy. Around two weeks back, Lalit took the internet by storm after he announced that he is dating Sushmita.

Sharing a co on Instagram, Lalit Modi wrote, “Guess I do cause controversy- but seriously like this.” In the image, a man is seen reading a newspaper and telling his sleeping friend the news about inflation, rising gas cylinder cost and much more but the sleeping friend only gets his attention as soon as he hears about the news of Lalit dating Sushmita and wakes up yelling “What? How?”

One person commented, “Is news ko sunn kar toh murdo mein bhi jaan aa sakti hai (This news is so big that it can bring back the dead)." Another one said, “This hits hard.” While one told him, “Sir you are still not tagged in her bio and she hasn't uploaded pics with you,” another one dropped a laughing emoji.

On July 14, Lalit Modi announced on social media that he is dating Sushmita. He made the revelation, while sharing a series of pictures on his social media accounts, and called Sushmita his ‘better half’. He wrote, “Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon.”

A day later, Sushmita shared a picture with her daughters Renee Sen and Alisah Sen on Instagram, and wrote, “I am in a happy place. Not married…no rings…unconditionally surrounded by love. Enough clarification given…now back to life and work!! Thank you for sharing in my happiness always…and for those who don’t…it’s #NOYB (none of your business) Anyway!!! I love you guys!!! #duggadugga #yourstruly."
