Malaika Arora revealed if she spoke to her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan after his rumoured breakup. Here's what she said.

Actor and television personality Malaika Arora has spoken about how she reacted to the rumoured breakup of her ex-husband, actor Arbaaz Khan. Talking with filmmaker Karan Johar on her reality show, Moving In With Malaika, on Monday, Malaika said that she neither knows about it nor does she ask. Arbaaz has been in a relationship with model-dancer Giorgia Andriani for almost four years.

In the show, Karan asked Malaika, "What's your relationship with Arbaaz Khan now? We haven't chatted about that in a while." Talking about it, Malaika replied, "I think it's lovely now. I think we are way better now." Karan then asked, "Did you feel the need to reach out when he had a breakup recently? It was written about, I don't know, I'm not sure."

Malaika said, "I don't know, I will be very honest, I don't ask. I'm not even that kind of person who asks Arhaan (Khan), 'What's going on?' I don't do that. I just feel I don't like to cross a certain path, I don't like to do that. I feel like I'm crossing that line. I know a lot of divorced couples where they get information out of their kids, I'm not one of them. I tend to stay away from that."

Recalling the time after Malaika's road accident earlier this year, Karan said, "I remember what was interesting which I took back home with me after your accident the whole family showed up. I mean they were there. I mean some roots are forever." Malaika responded, "I may not be their number one person on their list but they do it because Arhan is there. That's the right thing to do."

Malaika's car accident happened on April 2 this year in Khopoli, Maharashtra when she was returning to Mumbai from Pune. She sustained injuries and was hospitalised for treatment.

Recently, speaking with Farah Khan on her show, Malaika had said, "When I was wheeled out one of the first faces that I saw was actually Arbaaz, at that moment. And he kept asking me, 'Can you see? How many numbers? How many fingers?' And I was like 'why is he doing this?' It was very strange. For a second, I was like okay 'have I gone back in time?' Something that really sticks out is in difficult times, you know that irrespective whatever it may be, past, present, future, jo bhi ho (whatever happened), the way he was there."

Malaika and Arbaaz tied the knot in 1998. They announced their separation in March 2016 and got officially divorced in May 2017. They co-parent their son, Arhaan. Malaika, currently, is dating actor Arjun Kapoor.
