Priyanka Chopra roots for Miss India Manasa Varanasi, wishes her 'lots of love' for Miss World

In her message on Instagram, Priyanka Chopra wrote, "Lots of love and luck to @manasa5varanasi for the 70th Miss World competition." Priyanka also added a link to Manasa's Facebook page for people to vote for her.

In the picture, Manasa wore a pink dress and tied her hair up in a bun. A message read on the photo, "Let's all support Manasa Varanasi at the 70 Miss World competition!"

The Miss World pageant will be held on December 16 this year in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Manasa Varanasi is a model and engineer. Earlier this year, she was crowned as Femina Miss India World 2020.

Priyanka, too, had won the Miss World crown in 2000 and went on to feature in films. She debuted with the Tamil film Thamizhan in 2002 and has starred in many films so far. Priyanka's movies include Andaaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Krrish and Don, Dostana, Barfi!, Mary Kom, Bajirao Mastani and The Sky Is Pink among many others.

Currently, Priyanka has multiple projects in the pipeline including The Matrix Resurrections, Text For You, and drama series Citadel. She will also feature in Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zara along with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.

Priyanka celebrated her third wedding anniversary with her husband, singer Nick Jonas on Wednesday. The duo got married in a Christian and a Hindu ceremony in Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace on December 1-2 in 2018. Later, they also hosted receptions in Delhi and Mumbai.

Recently, Priyanka spoke about 2021 being tough for her. According to People magazine, the actor said on a podcast, "This year has been really, really tough. It was really, really tough to be away from home for an entire year, especially at a time when you can't travel to see your family."
