Delhi is gearing up to commemorate the 82nd birth anniversary of legendary singer Kishore Kumar with musical shows. In one of the musical shows, singer Shaan will mesmerise Delhiites with Fever Tribute Series. In the concert, which is to be held today at Siri Fort Auditorium, Shaan will bring to life, the renowned singer’s yesteryear favourites.
Speaking of the Fever Tribute series, Shaan says, “I have grown up listening to Kishore Da, he has been an undeniable inspiration in my life. I am grateful to have the opportunity to pay tribute to the legend that Kishore Kumar was, and continues to be. It’s even more special considering it is his birth anniversary.”
Jhumroo, is the other musical show that will celebrate the spirit of Kishore Kumar. An out and out musical comedy —Jhumroo, a winsome theatrical, will be launched in October 2011 at Nautanki Mahal, Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. The show will be an exclusive compilation of approx 20 retro songs from Kishore Kumar’s exceptional films. The foundation for Jhumroo’s launch was laid on Kumar’s 82nd birth anniversary.
