Payne can be seen pant less, spreading his hands wide with a rather shocked look on his face, on the back of a luxurious boat, reported Daily Mirror.

"Damn that was my last pair!" he captioned the picture.



The photo was pixelated before being posted on Instagram, to save the star's modesty.



A few hours later Payne cleared up the fiasco by posting another picture in which he wore his briefs, saying, "Oh I found them never mind."

One Direction have just wrapped up the European leg of their Where We Are tour.
