Child actor, Harsh Mayar, who acted in the National Award winning film, I am Kalam wanted to meet the former President. Harsh expressed how much in awe of Kalam he was, and like his character in the movie, in real life too, he was inspired by the scientist President.

Upon meeting him, young Harsh complimented Kalam for his hairstyle and pointed how he felt that Salman Khan has copied his mane in his movie Tere Naam. Kalam was impressed and charmed by the young boy.
