Murdering seven men was cakewalk for actor Priyanka Chopra in Vishal Bhardwaj’s 7 Khoon Maaf. What scared her was her wrinkled face. “I played the characters of a 21-year-old girl and a 65-year-old woman. Killing my seven husbands was not at all scary — it was behaving old that I dreaded. My wrinkled face, grey hair and husky voice shook me up.” So, to come out of the mould, PC “used to go back home, put on loud music and sing and dance” to her heart’s fill.

On being asked to rate her performance in the film, she says, "Oh, I am the best... that’s what I feel in whatever I do." Though the actor has maintained that she will not discuss her private life in public, on Rajat Sharma's talk show Aap Ki Adalat on India TV, PC opened up a little. When asked about Shahid Kapoor, she said, “He is a fabulous actor and a good friend. We do meet often.”

She is very upset about media reports stating that Shahid was at her place when I-T officials raided her house. “Shahid was the closest whom I could have called, that morning. But I am a daughter, I am a sister and most importantly, I am a girl — I did not take all the sensational reporting about me around that time very kindly,” she says.

Contrary to reports, Chopra also makes it clear that it is never the Khans or the Kapoors that are the deciding factor for her when it comes to choosing films. “The lead hero is the last thing on my priority list. My role matters most to me. I never look for a good role, but good roles find me.”
