After much chasing and probing, actor Katrina Kaif, often talked about for her on and off relationship status with actor Salman Khan, breaks her silence and ends all speculation. “I am single till I’m not married. So, once I’m wedded, I’d cease to be single,” says Kaif, declining to get into the details.
The actor, who has spent six years in Bollywood, has so far, ensured that she keeps her personal life tucked away from the media that has been speculating about the status of her relationship with Khan, which reportedly hit rock bottom a few months ago.

Kaif’s admission of her single status could be attributed to Khan, who has also lately been talking about his single status in most of his interviews for promoting his forthcoming film Dabangg. During one of his interviews, Khan even looked into the camera and said, “I’m single. Katrina, are you listening?”
Kaif seemed prepared for questions on her relationship status, as she arrived at a city venue to announce her association with Etihad Airways on Tuesday. Her initial reply to the queries regarding her personal life is, "no comments."
Too hard to handle
She, however, adds, “Sometimes it’s hard to make decisions, professional and personal. And if you have to make it in any form of public domain, I think that’s a little bit more than what I can handle. Which is why I have never commented on who I am with, whether there has been an argument, or if we’ve broken up.”
When asked if she had worked hard to keep her commitment, Kaif says, “If you commit to something, you must stand by it. But if you commit to something and the situation changes, then perhaps the commitment also changes.”
But Kaif categorically dismisses reports of her budding friendship with Ranbir Kapoor, acting as a catalyst in her split with Khan, as baseless rumours. Kaif retorts, “Salman has said he’s single. I’m saying I’m single. What else is left for me to say now?”
