One Day star Anne Hathaway, who recently got engaged to longtime boyfriend Adam Shulman, says she empathizes with troubled actress Lindsay Lohan because she too has made the same mistakes.
"Lindsay Lohan and I have more in common than people think. We've all done things we shouldn't. It is just that I did stuff at college when nobody knew about it, so I'm not a saint. I wasted time doing self-destructive things," Hathaway said.
The 29-year-old, who will soon be seen as Catwoman in the upcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, also said she she grew out of her wilder days because of her mother, reported Contactmusic.
"I found you can only dance on so many table tops. I got all that out of my system and I am healthy and grounded thanks to my mother," she added.
Lohan has faced a number of legal troubles in the past few years.
