According to a source, the troubled starlet, released early from rehab last month, failed the court-mandated test last week.
The terms of her probation call for her to get 30 days in jail on each of three counts. Prosecutors declined to comment.
She was ordered into rehab for another 90 days, but let go after 23 days with a stern warning to stay out of trouble.
The Mean Girls star denied that she has failed the drug test saying: "I'm fine."
"They're all nuts," UsMagazine.com quotes her as saying.
Similarly, Lindsay’s attorney Ed MacPherson told he's still investigating the supposed test: "I have no idea at this point whether or not there is any merit to this."
Indeed, no authorities could confirm the report. L.A. County Sheriff''s Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore also said, "I haven''t been officially notified by anyone" about a failed Lohan drug test or the star''s return to prison.
Kathy Roberts of L.A. Superior court also told, "nothing has been filed or anything entered into the court calendar. We can''t confirm [the report]."
