trip was cancelled due to ash clouds created in the aftermath of the Icelandic volcanic eruptions.

The Ganesha was originally scheduled to have been gifted to Bachchan at the Wieliczka Salt Mines, which was on his itinerary. Wlodek Czausow, consul of economic and trade affairs of Poland, who was part of the visit, says, “The hour-long visit with Mr Bachchan was very inspiring and interesting.” Bachchan gifted three books to the Ambassador. One of them, Madhushala, which had the English translation of his father’s poems, was a personally autographed one.
