Moving on from her gyrating dance numbers and reality show drama, Bollywood’s item girl Rakhi Sawant is set to fight it out at the Lok Sabha polls as an independent contestant next month.
Rakhi, who’d be taking on filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar (MNS) and fellow actor Kamaal Rashid Khan (SP) from Mumbai North West constituency, is scathing about the latter, and says, "KRK ko jeetne ka sapna dekhne do, unka sapna main jald hi todne wali hoon. Junta ko loot ke humare neta gainde ban gaye hain, main satta ki laalchi nahin hoon, par agar mauka mila satta mein aane ka toh main sabki bolti bandh kar dungi." Criticising the Congress Party for the appointment of actor Vidya Balan as the brand ambassador for promoting sanitation in India, she says, "Jitne crore usko diye, usse shouchalay hi bana lete!"
Rakhi also says that she will not do item numbers anymore. "Mujhe desh ke liye abhi kaam karna hai, toh time kahaan milega? Aur main public figure ban jaoongi toh aisa naach gaana achha nahin lagta hai na."
He may be the guru of foul-mouthed Twitter entertainment, but actor-filmmaker Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK, who is contesting the elections on a Samajwadi Party ticket, says that he’s 200% confident of winning.
While he admits that the sitting MP from the Mumbai North-West constituency, Congress’ Gurudas Kamat, could be a competition, as far as Rakhi Sawant is concerned, he wants to congratulate her in advance for a pitiable defeat. "
Rakhi inti buri tarah haarne waali hai ki unka naam list mein sabse last ayega
," laughs the 39-year-old. So, is he, too, planning to ditch
as Rakhi has pledged to? "
Unke paas kaam
hai hi kahan jo woh karengi?"
says KRK, who has promised to not take any salary or benefits from the government if he wins.
