Rani wins award for saving dog

Bollywood beauty Rani Mukerji’s noble deed of helping a dog in distress has been recognised by animal rights organisation, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India.

Bollywood beauty Rani Mukerji’s noble deed of helping a dog in distress has been recognised by animal rights organisation, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India.

The actor was shooting for her upcoming film Aiyya when she reportedly saw a stray dog being harassed by a few onlookers on the set. She rushed to help the dog.



For this, the actor will receive a Hero to Animals Award. “This dog would have been terrified and suffered more abuse if it wasn’t for Rani’s compassionate action,” said Sachin Bangera, the organisation’s manager of media and celebrity projects.
