Apparently, the character is based on a real life bar dancer and Rukhsar plays a mentor to younger girls who come to work in the same bar. Khair, I’m informed that the abhinetri is very inspired by Tabu’s performance in Chandni Bar and is working very hard to emulate her idol without coming across as a ‘me too’.

Now, it remains to be seen if Madhur Bhandarkar is impressed enough with Rukhsar’s histrionics to make a sequel to his Chandni Bar with the abhinetri, remarks Mottu. Now how do I tell her that I don’t really care? But then, such is life dearies.
