Singer-actor Selena Gomez has thanked her fans for standing by her as she dealt with her mother's miscarriage.

Singer-actor Selena Gomez has thanked her fans for standing by her as she dealt with her mother's miscarriage.

The 19-year-old was left devastated earlier this month when her mother Mandy lost the baby she was expecting with Gomez's stepfather Brian.

Gomez has now posted a message on social networking site facebook expressing her gratitude to all the fans who sent her messages of support after the tragedy, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"Belated Merry Christmas everybody... I can't thank you enough for all of your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate every one of you... I love you all so much and we hope you and your family had a beautiful Christmas," she posted.
