He was fined 1.5 lakhs for carrying over-the-limit luggage and for duty.

"SRK had gone on a family holiday to Holland and London. On his way back he was carrying with him about 20 bags. Thus, the customs officials at airport interrogated him, while his family was allowed to go," a source told Mid-Day.

"The interrogation was conducted by a team of deputy collector, Customs, Sameer Wankhede. Shah Rukh had to pay a duty of approximately Rs 1.5 lakh," says the source.

The officials claim that as a rule passengers are required to pay duty and excess baggage fine.

Customs commissioner, P M Govande confirmed to Mid-Day, "Yes, he was interrogated but it is a routine thing. Whenever people bring stuff they have to pay duty on it. It was nearly Rs 1.5 lakh and the interrogation took time because he was carrying a lot of stuff."

So the King may be ruling Bollywood, but outside he's just like one of us.
