SRK keeps an eye on Shilpa Shetty
As Shilpa Shetty gears up for motherhood, trust Shah Rukh Khan to be the considerate co-star and friend. Apparently, ever since Shilpa became pregnant, SRK has tried to keep himself updated about her well-being, gives parenting tips to Raj Kundra.
In 1993, they worked together in Baazigar. And now, 19 years later, as Shilpa Shetty gears up for motherhood, trust Shah Rukh Khan to be the considerate co-star and friend. Apparently, ever since Shilpa became pregnant, SRK has tried to keep himself updated about her well-being.
In fact, when the actor recently bumped into Shilpa’s hubby Raj Kundra in Jaipur during an IPL match between their respective teams – Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals – the actor chatted with him for a long time about Shilpa and parenthood. He even offered Raj a few tips on fatherhood for when Shilpa delivers, May-end.
“The first thing he asked was about Shilpa’s health and her due date. He also told me, ‘Raj, you will look forward to it eagerly in the coming days. It’s the best thing that could happen to you.’ He loves his kids (Aryan and Suhana) a lot and is a great idol for me when it comes to being a family man,” says Raj, adding that after Sanjay Dutt, SRK is his best friend from the industry.
Interestingly, the IPL final is scheduled on Shilpa’s due date. “My team is playing quite well, but I have told them that if they make it to the final, I won’t be around because I have to be with Shilpa. So, the entire team has also decided that if they win the trophy, it will be dedicated to Shilpa’s baby,” smiles Raj, adding, “I have told everyone (business-related) that I’m taking time off to enjoy being a father.”
Meanwhile, Shilpa’s sister Shamita has already designed the baby’s room. “She has given it a very neutral colour because we don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl. But she has very kindly used her interior designer skills to design a beautiful room,” he says.
