Gautham Karthik, Manjima Mohan get married in Chennai, Trisha, Keerthy Suresh congratulate them
Star couple Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan took the plunge on Monday and shared their first picture from the wedding on Instagram. Check it out.
On Monday actors Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan tied the knot in a private ceremony in Chennai. Soon after their wedding, Manjima took to Instagram and shared the first picture with husband Gautham. Manjima announced her wedding and wrote, "Now and forever.” In the picture, Gautham Karthik wore a white shirt and mundu. Manjima looked ethereal in a simple cream-coloured saree. Soon after she shared the post, fans took to the comment section and flooded with congratulatory messages.
Trisha took to her Instagram story to wish the couple. She wrote, “Congratulations you two. Sorry I missed your big day. See you soon to celebrate.” Keerthy Suresh tweeted: “I couldn’t be happier for you Ammu! I wish I were there with you on your special day! Congratulations to you both. God bless.”
In a media interaction last week, the couple revealed that they’ve been in a relationship for about two years now and are getting married with the blessings of their parents.
Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan worked together in the 2019 Tamil film Devarattam, which was directed by Muthaiah. Gautham revealed that they didn’t fall in love while shooting for the film. However, it happened a year later.
“After working together in Devarattam, we became good friends. She was always there to lift me up whenever I felt low. After a year, I proposed to her and she took a couple of days to accept my proposal,” Gautham said.
He further added that Manjima turned him into a man from a boy. “My dad used to say that when you find the right person, they make you a man, and that’s Manjima for me.”
Manjima confirmed she will continue acting post marriage and has no plans of quitting.
