Former Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole is learning skills of a different kind now. Her new boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini is teaching her French! In return, she's teaching him Geordie phrases.

Former Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole is busy with her new boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini these days for reasons other than the obvious. She is taking French classes from him, and in return, Cole is teaching him Geordie phrases.

The 30-year-old singer, from Newcastle in North England, has been dating the Frenchman for a month now and made it official at Cannes Film Festival, reported Daily Mirror.

"My English is better than her French, but I teach her the words. Mainly the bad words! She teaches me the Geordie," Fernandez-Versini said.

The hunk went along to the Britain's Got Talent final recently to watch the beauty perform her new track Crazy Stupid Love and gushed about her backstage.

"She is amazing. It was good to see her performing. I was proud. Impressed? Yes -- very, very impressed," he added.
