Mahhi Vij reveals her Goa flight's engine caught fire: 'I just kept looking at my daughter and was numb'
Mahhi Vij has said that the engine of her Goa flight caught fire and she was left numb as she was travelling with daughter Tara, and her mom.
Mahhi Vij has revealed that her Goa flight faced a technical glitch and the engine caught fire. She shared a picture with her daughter Tara and talked about her experience in an Instagram post. (Also read: Jay Bhanushali shares video of daughter Tara chasing balloon at her birthday bash)
Mahhi wrote, "Life is unpredictable. Just a few seconds before take off..there was smoke near the engine...For the first time I just kept looking at my daughter and I was numb. My mum was holding Tara's hand and all she kept doing is pray. Special thanks to the pilot and indigo for keeping us safe. Blessings work...Tara is blessed thank you to each one of you."
She had also shared a picture of her mom and Tara. In the picture, they were both seated at the window seat in the flight, and were looking outside.
Talking about her daughter Tara and how the young one displayed an independent streak from the start, Mahhi had said in a video earlier this year that Tara began eating on her own, just by watching her parents eat by themselves. She said that she never trained Tara for washroom either, that the young one would simply walk into the washroom whenever she had to go.
"You can say that she has potty-trained herself. The choice to not wear a diaper anymore was also hers. And I am not complaining." She added that she wants Tara to learn for herself and become street-smart. "I do not want to give her everything gift-wrapped and hand-delivered. It is obvious for every parent to feel that their child deserves the moon. There is nothing wrong with that as long as the child values it and makes attempts to achieve it."
Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi got married in 2011. About Tara, they have said in an earlier interview that they tried to conceive for years. It was only later that they welcomed Tara in 2019 through IVF. Jay and Mahhi are also foster parents to a boy named Rajveer and a girl named Khushi.
