Deepika Padukone took Twitterati by surprise when she wished actor Katrina Kaif on Thursday morning: “Happy Birthday #Katrina!Lots of love & hope you have the bestest year ever!:-) (sic).”

The two have been known to not get along considering Dippy once dated Kat’s alleged current flame, actor Ranbir Kapoor. Deepika has often taken digs at Katrina in the past. And there was no sign of any truce between the two actors, until this happened.
Remember the time when Katrina and Ranbir's photos from their Spain vacation went public and Deepika had this message for Katrina? And then, the Dhoom: 3 star got mighty miffed with the Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela actor for 'blaming' her for the leak.
Also, who can forget the Deepika Padukone-Sonam Kapoor episode of Koffee With Karan? The one where the Bollywood divas 'made fun' of Ranbir. Remember when Deepika said that she thought Ranbir should endorse a condom brand, probably taking a dig at his flirtatious nature? But what left people slightly bewildered was why Deepika wanted to see Katrina Kaif's passport. Rings a bell?
Let us refresh your memory even further.
It all started on the sets on Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem ki Gajab Kahani, where Bollywood stunner Katrina apparently got a lot of attention from Ranbir. While Ranbir had Katrina amused with his humour and antics, the on-set cuddling and romance didn't go to well with his girlfriend of the time, Deepika.
According to sources, as soon as Deepika got the wind of Ranbir's new found fondness for Katrina, she arrived on the sets and the two ended up fighting. The converstaion ended on a bitter note.
The rest, as they say, is history.
