Vidya Balan's birthday plans revealed

Actor to celebrate birthday, first day of 2013 with parents, in-laws

Vidya Balan has always put family first. And now that she is married and has in-laws to keep happy too, she’s making sure she devotes as much time and attention to them as well. The actor has made plans to celebrate her birthday today — January 1 — also New Year’s day, with both her families.

A friend close to the actor says, “She’s a dutiful daughter. Every year on her birthday, she spends time with her family. Now, after marriage, she has balanced her time for both families. Siddharth(husband, Roy Kapur) and she returned from their honeymoon in South Africa on December 30. The very next day, they went to seek her parents’ blessings and had a quiet dinner at their home. Today, both sides of the family will have dinner at the couple’s new home.”

Adding that the actor is a very private person, the friend explains, “Vidya and Siddharth planned their post-wedding rituals as well as honeymoon in a way that would allow them to bring in the New Year and her birthday with both their parents.”

The newlywed actor turns 34 today. After her wedding and honeymoon break, she is slated to return to work on the sets of Ghanchakkar on January 5.
