Pair wise: When buying jeans, think about how you are going to pair it. Jeans that fit great on flat shoes may not look good on high heeled shoes. So buy one for flat shoes and the other for heeled shoes.
After a meal: Always try jeans sometime after you’ve had your last meal. You should neither be too full or too hungry as your waist size may vary. Even if it’s a marginal variation, it can spoil your fit.
Basics first: If you are not too much of a jeans person, then go for a basic pair. Leave the ripped, splashed and torn jeans for your third or fourth pair.
Office garb: If your office dress code is semi casual and you can wear jeans to work, then also buy a pair that is a little formal. A slight boot cut will work better than a skinny one any day. Also do not go for a faded or bleached one. Dark blue is the safest colour to wear to office.
Fit matters: While length of your jeans can be altered, it can be very tricky to get the jeans altered from thighs or worst of all, at the crotch. Always wear it and move around a bit to be sure that your pair does not bulge from strange angles.
