Captain coral comes calling

Peaches and tangerines have taken over fashion this season.

Persimmon, tangerine and peach might sound like they belong to a fruit bowl, but if the wardrobes of B-town’s top beauties are anything to go by, these are also the colours of the season. Orange, in all its shades, is coming back, heralding the start of the Spring/Summer collections.

“Summer is around the corner, and these colours become popular because they’re new and fresh,” says designer Anuj Sharma, whose colourful creations have made him a favourite with the folk. However, for those wondering how to pull off such bright colours, stylist Disha Waghani suggests adding a pop of orange to an otherwise neutral outfit. “If you’re wearing something white or beige, you can add tangerine accessories like a belt or a necklace. To play it even more safer, try shades of orange as lipstick or nail paint,” she advises.
