As the pink carpet was rolled down for a recent pre-Wimbledon party in London, we got an eyeful of some leggy and lithe ladies who effortlessly brought together class and high fashion, making for a lesson in intelligent styling. The Centre Court whites were replaced by party-perfect accessories, including T-strap sandals, on-trend messy side braid, neon accents and even a futuristic pair of Google glasses. The best cue to be taken from these lookers is perhaps the simplicity of it all — whether it be a basic dose of monochrome or a punch of bold lime hues — be a sport and go for the kill.

Mono play
Serena Williams stuck to a basic white dress with black piping, but she hit high glam with her accessories. T-strap sandals, an aqua fold over clutch and pop-themed nail art stole the show

Acing lace
British tennis player, Heather Watson, made quite a style statement with a neon lime lace dress. She made the look super fresh with a breezy side braid and a pop of scarlet for the lips

Daring hit
American player Bethanie Mattek-Sands kept it quirky in a floor-length white tube dress, which she off set with a neon belt, a pair of Google glasses, chunky flatforms and fun hued hair

Class apart
Keeping it super fashionable in a black and white Burberry, blond beauty Maria Sharapova packed a punch with the gold metal belt. The black box clutch and tied hair complimented her look.
