French model and actress Lou Doillon, daughter of legendary Jane Birkin who lent her name to the most coveted Hermes Birkin bag is on a visit to India to endorse her signature collection of jeans designed for Lee Cooper.
Many say the 25-year-old actress has carved a niche for herself in French and European industry because of her illustrious background which includes her father Jacques Doillon, the well-acclaimed French director.
At the age of five, she acted alongside her mother in Kung-Fu Master Her next movie was Trop (peu) d'amour, which was a success and gave Lou a recognition as a lead actress. She went on to do many French as well as European films.
After winning accolades for her stinct as an actress, she began modelling and walked the Parisian ramp with models like Gisele Bundchen for Missoni and many other international brands. She also appeared in the one-time Gap, Inc. publication Individuals and is the face of Givenchy .
A popular face for the the 2007 Pirelli calendar, she is also a creative partner with Lee Cooper. And that's the reason which brings her to India on this current visit where she will be first heading to Mumbai and shall follow it up with visits to Delhi and Chandigarh.
The French connec tion with India does not end here. Apart from endorsing her line, she also draws inspiration from India for her designs. According to the Lee Cooper spokesperson, "Her next line for Lee Cooper jeans is inspired by India which becomes another reason for her to visit different places in the country ."
