According to fashion designer Anita Dongre, emerald green seems to have become the hottest hue on the street over the past couple of weeks. “I love that emerald hue as a colour, and from what I’ve noticed in my stores, these shades have sold very well in the last few weeks.” Dongre adds that the hue compliments Indian skin tones and has caught on as a colour trend.Stylist Binal Shah spotlights the trend saying, “I’ve noticed that come winter and green suddenly becomes the most popular colour, perhaps because of its deep tone giving it a rich look”

For those looking to rock the shade, Shah suggests pairing it with nude tones like beige: “For western garments, beige and cream work well. If you’re looking at an Indian ethnic ensemble, then combining green with purple and red really stands out.”
