“Booties are certainly all the rage this season. But before you buy one for yourself, keep in mind that ankle booties worn the wrong way can make you look even shorter. To make your legs appear longer, wear ankle booties with dark tights or leggings,” says Sanjeev Jain of Gplus.

Ishaan Sachdeva, a fashion consultant at the shoe brand, Alberto Torresi, suggests: “Don’t combine the booties with long, flowy dresses or with long skirts.” Those who don’t want too much of skin show can team up booties with skinny jeans. “Make sure that the hem of your jeans meets the top of the bootie. This allows the boots to be seen and not get covered up,” adds Sachdeva.
