The look, inspired by desi culture, was styled by Japanese-Italian Nicola Formichetti, who is Gaga’s stylist and creative director for fashion house Thierry Mugler. Shot by photographers Inez and Vinoodh, the cover image was released on Twitter and Facebook with the caption, “We love India”. They also released the image under the title ‘Bollywood’, making it clear that the inspiration behind the look was India.

She also wears dark lipstick and has smoky eyes to complete the look.
