On his way to a hat-trick as the Grand Finale Designer at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2011, fashion designer Manish Malhotra is a proud man. This year the fashion week will be held from August 16-August 21 in Mumbai.
A regular participant at the fashion week, Malhotra shares the pressures of showcasing at the grand finale. “I am excited yet anxious to create an amazing collection for the finale. Considering the leap that Lakme has taken with its new makeup line, Lakmé Absolute, I take it as a huge compliment to show this line.”
He will show a modern collection infused with Indian influences. On his business expectations this year, he says, "I have never aimed at international buyers as the soul of my clothes is Indian and all the top stores in India stock my designs."
