International Polytechnic for Women (IPW) hosted Kaleidoscope 2010, a scintillating fashion show, at Hamsadhwani, Pragati Maidan recently.

Over hundred budding designers showcased an interesting mix of creative influences. Cowboy hats and chequered skirts drew appreciation. The students also made ample use of khadi. Shooter Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, fashion designers Charu Parashar and Arpan Vohra, cricketer Chetan Sharma and cosmetologist Bharati Taneja formed the judges line-up.



'The Devils May Care’ line, presented by one of the teams, stood out.



“The Devil theme is unique. It allowed us to create a lot of drama on stage by presenting ensembles in bright colours with play them up with black leather.



Accessories such as horns and weapons in metallic colours also add a lot to the look,” said Akansha Diwan, one of the designers of the collection that took home the ‘Most Accessorised Collection’ Award.



The fashion extravaganza was attended by Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely, fashion designer Leena Singh and AAFT director Sandeep Marwah.
