Pakistan Fashion Week 2012 saw traditional resplendence teamed with bold and daring cuts
Even as the four-day Lifestyle Pakistan exhibition showcasing the collection of Sefam, a Pakistani fashion house, kicks off in the Capital tomorrow at Pragati Maidan, the Pakistan Fashion Week, that was held from April 7 to April 10 in Karachi this year, has also been hitting the headlines for showcasing bold and contemporary designs, a far cry from conventional Pakistani ensemble.
The event that saw 28 designers from the country present their collections, brought forth a new face of Pakistan fashion, that was bold and fun. From midriff baring halters, bikini tops to backless anarkalis, the designs were a melange of traditional opulence and modernity.
Some of the designers who showcased their collection at the fashion week were Sanam Chaudhri, Bunto Kazmi, Umar Sayeed, Maheen Khan and Warda Saleem.
