Don’t let the chilly winter wind rob you of your sexy pout. If you dread this season thinking about your dry, chapped lips, here is help at hand.
All you need to do is to exfoliate your lips twice a week and religiously use a lip balm. And, if store bought lip gels are not for you, just whip up a moisturising lip salve for yourself using natural ingredients. Blush lip tint
Broke your favourite powdered blush? Don’t worry, we tell you how to put it to good use as well as get a sexy pout. Heat 2 tbsp of petroleum jelly or beeswax in a saucepan on low heat. Add the broken blush pieces to the mixture and keep stirring. You can add 1 tsp of honey or your favourite essential oil for moisturising and fragrance. Pour the melted mix in a sanitized container and let it cool. Your lip tint is ready!
Mix 1 tbsp coconut oil, almond oil, 2 tbsp petroleum jelly, 1 tsp vanilla essence and fresh or dry 1/4 cup rose petals in a pan. Heat them on low flame till the mixture melts. Citrus Lip gloss
Heat 2 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp grated beeswax and 1 tsp honey in a pan over low heat. Once the wax melts, pour it in a bowl and place it in a pan filled with ice. Keep whisking till the mixture emulsifies. Add 10-15 drops lemon juice or oil to it and continue whisking. Your lip gloss is ready to be used. Pour it in a sterlized container, get naturally scented lips all winter long!
Choco lip salve
Mix 1 tsp coconut oil, almond oil, cocoa butter, 3-4 drops of vitamin E oil and 3-4 chocolate chips in a bowl. Boil water in a saucepan and place the bowl in the pan. Stir the ingredient till it melts. Then, pour it in a small, strelized container and allow it to cool for an hour or more. Refrigerate it or carry it in your bag during winters but be aware that it can melt in warm temperatures.
