The second edition of the event from August 27-29 will showcase the latest trends in apparel and accessories for men at the Grand Hotel in Vasant Kunj.

"I am thrilled to have been given the responsibility and the opportunity to showcase the best of my creativity in men's fashion today and manifest the reigning trends this season through my collection," Bal said in a statement on Thursday.

"Menswear has come a very long way in our country and the fact that it is finally getting its due recognition with its own industry platform gives me tremendous pleasure," he added.

Organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), 17 designers will showcase their creativity on the ramp.

Explaining the rationale for chosing Bal for the grand finale, FDCI president Sunil Sethi said: "Rohit is one of the most celebrated designers of India. His designs are intelligent and imaginative."

"Rohit's innate talent, combined with his commitment to revive the Indian textile industry, is visible in his clothing line. A men's line to vouch for, I am sure Rohit's collection will allure the modern Indian man and exceed audience expectations," he added.

Apart form Bal, designers like Anky by Ankita and Anjana Bhargav, Ashish N. Soni, Manoviraj Khosla, Narendra Kumar, Raj Gayani, Rohit and Abhishek, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Samant Chauhan, Sanchita Ajjampur, Shantanu and Nikhil, Troy Costa, Vijay Arora and Wendell Rodricks are participating in this fashion extravaganza.
