1 A proper fitting coat will feel slightly constricting: When one tries on a coat and lifts his arms above the head or does hugging motions to see if the coat ‘fits properly’, a well-fitted coat will feel slightly constricting. It isn’t meant to play sports in. When you do need to do some physical activity, simply take the coat off. If you can easily move around a bunch in your suit coat, it will have a sloppy baggy look to a certain extent. When trying on a coat, just keep your arms at their side. Try it both buttoned and unbuttoned.

2 Buy fitted shirts for a sharper look: Always wear a fitted shirt, else you will get a terrible effect of the shirt billowing out on the sides and back when you tuck in your shirt. So, go for a shirt that has a sharp cut and fits you snugly. However, don’t go for a size smaller, else your collars will not fall well.

3 Fabrics are crucial: The fabric or what the suit is made of is very important. There are many different types of fabrics a suit can be made of, and each one feels different and has its own purpose. Know what to wear with your suit. Complement the suit with the right coloured pocket square, tie or cufflinks to add to the style quotient.
