At Sonam Kapoor’s Mehendi, Janhvi, Khushi bring out their best style

Sonam Kapoor became the bride of our dreams at her Mehendi function on Sunday, but there were two other Kapoor girls that got everyone’s attention. The Neerja actor’s cousin sisters Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor made heads turn with their pretty Manish Malhotra ensembles. Scroll for a glimpse.

Actor Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding extravaganza began with a Mehendi function on Sunday. The glowing bride made wearing an all-over embellished Anuradha Vakil ensemble look easy and we loved her choice of pastels. While Sonam has previously worn a zari lehenga by the designer in 2015, the flattering sharara set at her Mehendi was a great fit for an effortless-yet-stunning bride.

Although many of Sonam’s famous friends and family, including sister Rhea Kapoor (wearing an ivory and gold Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla ensemble) and cousin sister Shanaya Kapoor (in a baby pink gharara set), hit the celebrations, we couldn’t help but be awestruck by her cousin sisters Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor’s designer looks.

To no one’s surprise, the sisters were dressed by ace designer Manish Malhotra, who shared a great rapport with and designed for their late mother, actor Sridevi, many times. Janhvi, who makes her acting debut opposite Ishaan Khatter in Karan Johar’s Dhadak, wore a resplendent ivory sharara set. Her delicate design was a lesson in subdued glamour with its demure, long-sleeved silhouette, subtle chikankari emboidery and all-over clusters of gold sequin.

Janhvi’s whimsical ethnic Indian look had an iridescent shine that served up festive glamour and elegance. And the same could be said of her younger sister Khushi’s chikankari stunner.

Sometimes you just need to make a statement and Khushi proved she knows the value of this, which is why she chose an intricate midnight blue and ivory lehenga set complete with a soft pink and blue shaded dupatta for the evening. Both the looks are the designer’s latest Mijwan collection.

Both Janhvi and Khushi also brought winning hair and graceful make-up the festivities. While Janhvi styled her hair in glorious curls and wore a bright lip and slightly glittery eye shadow, Khushi rocked a glossy peach-coloured lip, lush lashes and sleek, pin-straight, middle-parted hair.
