What is it about women and their fascination for handbags? Ask any woman, and chances are, she would have her very own special association with the bag she carries. From the coveted Birkins to the ever-favourite Louis Vuittons to the funky beach bags, women love to flaunt their bags.

So if you too have a penchant for designer bags, then you wouldn’t want to miss the unique bag deal at Vogue’s fashion night out on September 10 at the Emporio.

As a part of many interesting and utterly fashionable things lined up for the evening, Vogue Steals is the charity handbag sale, where some of the most stylish women in Delhi and Mumbai will be donating their personal designer handbags. The gently used bags will be up on sale for R 10,000, which is a fraction of the original cost. All the proceeds from this cause will go to charity.

Part of this ‘fashion with a conscience’ initiative, are ladies, known for their immaculate style. So there is Simone Singh, giving away her orange Miu Miu clutch. About the initiative, Singh says, “I generally give gently used items to charities, who hold fundraising sales.” Singh also tips on how to team up the bag that she is giving away, “The orange clutch can add colour to any monochrome outfit.” Queenie Dhody says, “I am giving away a Dior beige monogrammed bag and a colourful Pucci bag."

Other ladies, who are a part of the fashion event, are Laila Lamba, Haseena Jethmalani, Nisha Jhaveri, Zeba Kohli, Tanya Dubash and Sonia Garware amongst others. Ladies, go, bag the deal!
