Always a pro at mixing formal and causal, actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna ditched high fashion and designer gowns for a cosy floral pyjama set as she posed for a fashion magazine. Her look was equal parts comfy and cool.

If anyone can bring bed-wear to the fashion scene with full confidence, it’s none other than Akshay Kumar’s better half.

Never one to shy away from a risky trend, the actor-turned-author decided to try something new when she posed for Vogue India’s latest issue wearing the fanciest pyjamas we’ve ever seen. All while surrounded by and sitting on piles of books. It’s been a while since pyjama dressing took the fashion world by storm, but Twinkle proved the trend’s versatility when she masterfully paired her floral pyjama set with stilettos. Chic, totally on trend and way too cool to only wear at home.

Posting a photo to her 2.5 million Instagram followers on Tuesday, she wrote, “Sometimes I get to do this as well- like the Madonna song ‘Strike a pose -Vogue, Vogue Vogue!’ @vogueindia P.S For the easily outraged : My foot is on a stool and not a book because I don’t want to get dust on the cover- aside from that I have no qualms with sitting on books, sleeping next to them or even keeping a pile in the bathroom to read regularly-The God of Wisdom visits you when you read books not worship them - Love and laughter from this bookworm.”
