A delicious blend of blacks, whites and beige were the mainstay of the designer’s autumn/winter 2014 collection at Wills India Fashion Week. Actor Shilpa Shetty too strutted down the catwalk amidst applause and hoots in a voluminous ghaghra skirt and off-shoulder cropped blouse.

Playful silhouettes, richly gilded necklines and a deliciously ironic blend of blacks, whites and beige with pops of scarlet, kesar and blue were the mainstay of designer Tarun Tahiliani’s autumn/winter 2014 collection at the Wills India Fashion Week.

Tahiliani played around with the hemlines to make interesting pairings with the outfits. Anarkali kurtas with asymmetrical hemlines teamed with cropped salwar pants, sheer sleeved blouses with dhoti saris and embroidered kaftans paired with churidaars were a fresh take on traditional drapes. Printed sheer stockings with three dimensional prints paired with kaftans to add a dash of quirk to the collection.

Models sashayed down the ramp in quaint black and gold headband, tasseled ghunghroos and stacked bangles. Rich embroidery, dark, moody hues dominated the makeup at the showcase too.

Ox-blood hued lips and dark nails were also featured on the ramp. Actor Shilpa Shetty strutted down the catwalk amidst applause and hoots in a voluminous ghaghra skirt and off-shoulder cropped blouse. The designer was also accompanied by actors Ayesha Khanna and Harman Baweja while taking the bow of thanks.
