Residents blamed the Huda for gross negligence that led to the animal’s death.“Huda workers started filling up the pit when the bull was still alive to cover up the incident,” said Sunil Kakkar. He immediately informed other residents but the pit was fully covered in no time.

The Huda, however, has denied the allegations. “The bull did not fall into the pit. The animal, already dead, had been dumped into the pit,” said Kartar Singh, executive engineer (EE), Huda.

“Huda officials also requested locals not to inform the media or the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG). I, however, informed a photographer. But by the time he reached the spot, workers had filled the pit with earth,” alleged Kakkar.
